The Nanny & Au Pair Connection (Est. 1989)

The Nanny & Au Pair Connection was started in 1989 by the present owner, Carole Payne, herself an au pair for seven years in Paris where she studied French at the Sorbonne. On returning to the UK Carole managed an Employment Agency and has considerable experience as a Recruitment Consultant.

Carole and family lived for a time in Saudi Arabia where they employed nannies and later au pairs for their two boys, but returned when the Gulf war started in 1989; it was then that Carole decided to start her own agency.

Carole employs two assistants and the agency is the success that it is due to the personal and professional approach. All au pairs come from agents abroad; Applicants from the internet are not accepted unless they are interviewed by local agents and references are checked. Local agents also make sure that all applicants come with police checks and medical certificates.  Most of  the agency’s work comes via word of mouth, and families come back to us year after year.
